CES Executive Director Interview Regarding L.A. City Council's Final Approval of Parking Ticket Fine Hikes

Coalition for Economic Survival Executive Director Larry Gross was interviewed on the KTLK's David Cruz radio show, again, regarding the Los Angeles City Council giving its final approval to increases in parking ticket fines.

CES' major concern is with the increase related to street sweeping violations, which we believe would disproportionately affect low income, renter and working-class families in Koreatown, Pico Union, Westlake and other neighborhoods a high density of apartment buildings and too few parking spaces. The fines will be increased to $73, higher than any other surrounding city, and would exceed the day of pay for a minimum wage earner.
